Ingredients:
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 cup of butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/8 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cake yeast
- 4 tbsp. sugar
- 10 tbsp. cream or milk
Directions:
Cut butter into flour as for pie dough. Add well beaten yolks and yeast that has been dissolved in cream (or milk) slightly warm and sugar. Let set for 15 or 30 minutes. Roll out 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into squares out round and fill. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly brown.
NOTE: Can make biscuits of coffee cakes with the same dough. When dough is taken out of the bowl, knead for a few seconds.
