There was not a classroom event growing up in which my mom’s famous sugar cookies did not make an appearance. Even today I am still excited to get a bunnie, ghost, or christmas tree on a stick.
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 cup of crisco
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups of sugar
- 1 tsp. milk
- 3 cups of flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions:
Mix above ingredients together until they form a large ball of dough. Break into sections and roll using rolling pin, use flour sparingly to avoid sticking. Once rolled out, use cookie cutter of choice.
Place into oven to eight (8) to ten (10) minutes at 375 degrees, until lightly brown. Let cool, and have fun icing!
