Passed down from Aunt Joanne, Auntie M introduced us to coffee cake that is perfectly paired with morning coffee. This has become a favorite of Greg’s who is always says … “sour cream”?
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup margarine
- 2 cups flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 pt. sour cream (1 cup)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients as crust, and reserve one (1) cup. Reserved cup aside, mix in the remaining ingredients to dampen. Pour mixture into two (2), 9″ greased and floured cake pans. Sprinkle the reserved mixture on top.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
