Chinese Slaw

A favorite side, brought into my world by my Aunt Terry. We share that, and our love of lemon desserts.

Slaw Ingredients:

  • 1 lg. head of hapa cabbage or 2 16 oz bags of slaw mix
  • 10 green onions, chopped

Mix together onions with slaw and cover and chill in a large bowl.

Dressing Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of salad oil (veg)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of vinegar (cider)
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce

Mix together and refrigerate.

Crunch Ingredients:

  • 2 bags of Ramien noodles broken up
  • 1 cup of slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup of sesame seeds
  • 1 stick of margarine

In a large skillet melt margarine and saute noodles, almonds, and sesame seeds until golden brown. Cool. Place in air-tight container.

Mix dressing, crunch, and slaw before serving.
